BBB London Championships
Who can compete?
Anybody and everybody whether they are a scene leader, organiser, volunteer or random passer by, they are all welcome. This is open to all those who hold some kind of BBB pass. Priority will be given to those who have a full workshop pass.
How much does it cost?
Entry to each competition will be £5 per person per category. All proceeds will be donated to the BBB chosen charity. We will announce this year’s charity shortly. Last year we raised just over £400 for Save The Children.
What can I win?
Prizes will be announced shortly!
Blues Baby Blues Teams Battle
This competition will take place on Sunday night at BBB. Teams of 5 will battle each other dancing to a few different songs and throwing down their most impressive Blues moves. The number of participants per group is recommended at 5 however we will accept teams of 4 or 6 upon request.
The format: Each battle will be to a Blues track chosen by the BBB admin. Each team will face off against their opposition 2 or 3 times (depending on the number of teams who enter) for no longer than 30 seconds . At the end of each round the judges will point to the team they have selected to win that battle and head up to the next round.
How do I enter my team?
You will be able to enter your team in advance via a registration system that will open in September. You will need to purchase an entry for each person competing. Please make sure you register all your team members at one time. We will be accepting late entries for this competition provided there are team slots left. We strongly recommend that you register as soon as possible as once all the team slots are full the category will be sold out. Register early and don’t miss out.
Jack & Jill Surprise
This will be a Jack & Jill with a surprise. You won’t know what the surprise is until you get there. This is open to ALL levels of dancers and we strongly encourage anyone and everyone to enter as you will all have equal chance to take the gold (chocolate) medal. If you choose to enter, please make sure your sense of humour is in good working order.
How do I enter?
You will enter this category as an individual and you will be able to do so in advance via a registration system that will open in September. You will be able to enter as either a lead or follow and we will also ask you if you identify as an open J&J competitor or a Champions J&J competitor.. Anyone can choose to do any role. It is very unlikely we will take late entries for the J&J.
The format: Prelims for this category will take place on Saturday at 8pm at the beginning of the Saturday night party. This will be an all skate format, you will dance 3 times for 90 seconds and will change partners between each dance.
The final for this category will take place during the Saturday evening party. It will be in a spotlight format and competitors will dance 3 times, the rest is going to be a complete surprise.
